How can a show that is so inept have so many fans? I finally got around to watching the first five episodes and I must say I wish I could get that 4 hours of my life back. I kept thinking, "this has got to get better at some point". I was wrong. You want to be entertained by a community surviving a nuclear devastation scenario? Try reading "Alas, Babylon". The writers here must be living in fantasyland if they think people will react like they have written these characters and lines. C'mon, the grocer and bar are still open and accepting cash? The government, local or national, has not declared martial law? They could have at least tried to get some of the science right. The limited number of cities destroyed would not have shut down the national grid. I enjoy a good fantasy but I also expect a little research and or realistic reactions and responses. What a waste of time. I am so glad I only got five episodes of this trash. Please do not bring it back in a movie or a return to television.
