i have never read the books and quite honestly was a late bloomer when it came to this show. I listened to co-workers and both of my sons and decided to give it a try. I was hooked after the first episode i watched. I quickly caught up on the first season. Boyd and Raylen have a great chemistry together. Actually all the characters are great together. Mags was a fantastic character, I will miss her. Thank goodness they are keeping Boyd. You feel like you are a part of their life when watching and before you know it the episode is over. Please keep this show on. We need these a smart show like this one to make up for all the stupid reality tv.
