L.A. Law: The Movie

Movie featuring members of the original cast of the television series "L.A. Law," which aired from 1986-1994 on NBC. More than 10 years have passed since attorney Michael Kuzak left McKenzie-Brackman, the law firm run by Douglas Brackman Jr. since the retirement of Leland McKenzie. Having left law because he was disillusioned with the justice system and his role in it, Kuzak now runs one of Los Angeles' hottest restaurants. But Kuzak's past collides with the present when the daughter of a convicted cop killer he once represented asks him to handle her father's death-penalty appeal. The man is scheduled to be executed in two weeks, and Kuzak's opposing counsel is his ex-lover, District Attorney Grace Van Owen -- who is certain that Kuzak's client is guilty.

Meanwhile, at McKenzie-Brackman, many familiar faces remain, from office assistant Benny to divorce lawyer Arnie Becker, now embroiled in his own bitter divorce battle with his ex-wife, represented by former McKenzie-Brackman associate Abby Perkins. While married attorneys Ann Kelsey and Stuart Markowitz make a shocking discovery about the spiritual guru they've embraced, single mother Roxanne is unexpectedly drawn back into the life of her ex-husband Dave, and Brackman navigates a rocky relationship with his son, Jason, now an associate at the firm.
