A sequel to "Raising the Mammoth," a documentary about a frozen woolly mammoth found in Siberia by French explorer Bernard Buigues and a team of scientists. "Land of the Mammoth" picks up where "Raising the Mammoth" left off, as the scientists begin thawing the mammoth -- named the Jarkov Mammoth, after the family who originally found the mammoth -- to reveal new clues about its life and environment 20,000 years ago. The program also follows expedition leader Bernard Buigues and his team of scientists as they return to the Taimyr peninsula in Siberia to seek out other prehistoric creatures hidden in the permafrost.
