Land's End

I loved this series when it was on in the 90s. It started out as a serious drama that slowly began to lighten up and got really funny towards the end. Maybe the writers knew they were being canceled. Anyway, the premise of a serious detective chasing down villains in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with his wacky sidekick from way back aided by a mysterious shrimp fisherman and a beautiful hotel manager was just plausible enough to make a go of it.
