Every old shopworn bit, every ancient stereotype and tired old punchline has been served up to the public again in this woefully predictable show. Everything about Modern Family is a walking stereotype. The fact that this crap won an emmy just proves how much pull the stars of the show have, and how much everyone has grown to hate the cast of 30 Rock. Examples of the fresh writing this show is supposed to exhibit are bits about the gay guy who can't use power tools, and a Dad that acts like a geek around his kids. Is the show supposed to be modern just because there's a gay couple or because a divorced guy married a hot young immigrant? Heck, my Dad did that 40 years ago and noone gave him a TV show.
