To the producers of NCIS:
Referring to the episode airing Nov. 15, 2011 in Los Angeles.
You had written that particular piece with the supposed “bad guys” being Iraqi’s and the NCIS agents facilitating the infiltration and destruction of that Taliban cell as the “good guys”. I am writing to tell you how shocked I was in the portrayal of “Sam” as just doing his job by claiming love and affection for the ‘sister’ and after arriving on U.S. soil abandoning her to the mercies of the departments charged with the interrogation of terrorists with no apparent feelings for her future welfare.
This, sirs, is not the image of an American I and certainly many others, would wish to broadcast to the world now or any other time while at the same time we condemn Sharia Law and the mistreatment of women in the Moslem religion. You have really crossed a moral line here and I, as a fan of the show, would not like to see that again.
Perhaps my comments mean nothing but it is my hope you will pay attention to these well-meaning words.
Now that I have written that I would like to add that we have been NCIS fans for all these years and certainly intend to continue given that there are sensitivities that really have to be considered. 'nuff said.
Sincerely,
