Zooeys quirky cuteness was the whole anchor they are trying to write around. She could have really propelled this show with a good plot and writing crew (providing they stop having her beak into song 5 times a show. We get it, she can sing, but this aint Idol).. Alas though, the writing stinks. Wheres the laughs? Schmidts a doofus and unlikeable, and the other two, plus the model friend, are forgettable.
Maybe establishing the plot line took away from their creativeness and now it will pick up some laughs moving forward. I doubt it though.
