Eight-year-old Charlie Holton happens upon a gangly baby reindeer in a clearing. Charlie comes to believe this must be Santa's reindeer and sends Santa an e-mail saying he'll keep the reindeer safe until Christmas Eve and Santa should pick up Prancer at 9:00 P.M. on Antler Ridge. Charlie's shattered family is brought back together through the magical appearance of Prancer. The young boy's quest to return the reindeer to Santa before Christmas Eve results in a restoration of faith for his family and town, in the magic of Christmas and the joy of humanity shared.
