Reba is one of my favorite sitcoms along with Drop Dead Diva because the people depicted are GOOD people with a need to do "The Right Thing". I was dismayed to see the episode last night where the Poor Hamster was flushed down the toilet by the X. I love animals and don't like to see a message like this portrayed by decent people. The message you send on your shows is one of love and kindness and an attempt to overcome and respect one another as individuals. That respect should be extended to animals as well, even if you are not a person who enjoys animals as members of the family. Cruelty to any animal on any show is not acceptable for my friends and my family viewing, even if it is a Hamster. I hope the poor creature ends up just being set in the bathroom and that Barbara Jean finds it another home.
About The Show
A comedy series about Reba Hart, a Texas soccer mom who's watching her white picket fence collapse before her eyes. Her very soon-to-be ex-husband, Brock, is a dentist who's fallen for his perky, born-again hygienist, Barbara Jean. Reba's 17-year-old daughter, Cheyenne, is pregnant and ready to marry Van, the local football star. Younger daughter Kyra, 12, is never without a precocious quip, while youngest son Jake, 9, just wants the nightmare to go away.
