I like the fact that this is an unrealistic show. That's one of the draws for me- i read these kind of books. I have small kids and its my one hour a week that there's something on that's not animated. Another draw is the male cast- WOW! Billy Burke is definitely much more appealing as Miles Mathewson than Charlie Swan from Twilight- who knew? David Lyons is right up there with him and they're both guys I could watch all day long. That being said, one thing that seems unrealistic to me is how sheltered some of the characters are. Granted, being a parent, I would do everything in my power to protect my kids. Though if I had access to the training some of these people are supposed to have, my kids would grow up with that knowledge. I also would think that things would be much less civilized than they seem on the show. I know its not cable, but I 'd think that would be eluded to a little more. The last thing that drives me kind of crazy is how do they stay so clean?! Anyway, for the most part I enjoy the plot and the fact that you get to know something about each character personally. I hope this one lasts because its my favorite (and one and only) show I watch which and I rather enjoy it!
