Roseanne

Wonderful look at a family that doesn't look like mine, but faces the financial & moral questions that many of us face. Her mouthy kids aren't any worse than the trashy foul mouthed teen cretins I see at any mall, but hers are funny. Dan and Roseanne love each other. They are loyal, brave & able to see the humor in impossible situations, like having utilities turned off, unemployment, a business failure, the death of an abusive parent and worrying about the futures of their stubborn kids, How anyone can think Roseanne is any worse than any selfish, overdressed, butt obsessed, clown make-up wearing, wig/extension headed, salon chem saturated, phony & nasty jerk is beyond belief. At least this show kept us entertained through the first seasons of its run. The show had its problems, but Dan & Roseanne kept the fires that the Honeymooners and the Riley's burned alive. I loved them and miss them. Pretense like today's programming gets old.
