I came upon Running Wilde, after I watched Glee (which I love), and sat through the mediocre Raising Hope. I was so happy I sat through Raising Hope and gave Running Wilde a chance! It is so funny! I love how they take previous jokes/situations and subtly refer to them later in the season! There is some obvious slap-stick humor, but the intelligent humor that is similar to Arrested Development is there too. I'm going to take an educated guess and say that the people who don't like this show are unable to pick up anything past the surface, which is their loss! This show is great!

Steven Wilde is a rich Beverly Hills jerk who falls in love with the daughter of his former housekeeper, Emmy, a socially-minded woman with no tolerance for his values or lifestyle. Emmy is trying to save an indigenous tribe in the Amazon rain forest which Steve's company threatens to destroy. Emmy turns to Steve for help, but Steve isn't willing to stand up to his father and risk losing his meal ticket, so he tries to find another way to win Emmy's love.
