Late one night in the desert, the Mystery Machine van breaks down after it is forced off the road by what appears to be a UFO. Locals confirm the sighting, telling the gang about a nearby government project searching for extraterrestrial intelligence. While waiting for the van to be repaired, Scooby and Shaggy are abducted by 8-foot green aliens. They awaken from the frightening experience back out in the desert with a beautiful free-lance photographer named Crystal and her dog, Amber. Together, they uncover the secret of the aliens, falling in love in the process.
