Staembath: One for the Eons

star55

I saw this unique show when it appeared originally on PBS in the early 70s. It has the staying power to still be even more relevant in the 21st Century with its satirical look at the asperations of wanna-bes and coulds-beens who have been caught "unexpectedly" by the grim reaper, who turns out to be a Puerto Rican steambath attendant. With witty and insightful writing Stephen Jay Friedman has penned a tale for all times with characters from all walks of life trying to figure out the meaning of the time they had and not doing very well at justifying either their existence or their accomplishments.
