Suzy's Story

star55

An eye-opening documentary about a family dealing with the prejudices and ignorance of the public back in the 80's, when Suzy is diagnosed with AIDS shortly after they are married, her husband videotapes her going to the doctor and her last days...surrounded by her family and her son that also has this horrible disease(at the time) along with her husband's sweet daughter...this story is poignant, in-your-face and honest. Unfortunately, Suzy dies at the end of the film and I cried for an hour after watching this. It changed my life and the way I look at AIDS patients in general, and was personal because I lost my best friend to this plague in 1994. In memory of Jeffrey Kent White, please watch this film, chances are you know someone with AIDS or someone who is HIV positive.
