The Amazing Race 6

After 40,000 miles, spanning four continents and twenty-four cities, engaged models Freddy & Kendra won The Amazing Race 6 where it all began, in Chicago, Illinois. The pair edged out long-distance dating couple Kris & Jon by securing an earlier flight from Honolulu to Chicago. Trailing the entire time because of a weak finish in the prior leg that eliminated dating actors Hayden & Aaron, formerly dating couple Adam & Rebecca finished in third place. less

The four remaining teams take off from their Pit Stop at a hotel near the Lion Rock in Sri Lanka, receiving a clue to fly 4,000 miles to Shang Hai, China. Once there, they make their way to Hunang Tower, where they find a Roadblock. The Roadblock is challenging task which leads them to a group of tai chi masters, which they have to search amongst to find one of four clues. A Detour soon has teams racing for the final three positions. Once teams completed the Detour it was a tense foot-race to the finish but one team was unable to arrive fast enough which cost them a last place finish. Luckily, this was the third of three pre-determined non-elimination legs so they were still in the race but were stripped of their money. Four teams still remain, all hoping to successfully complete another leg without checking in last and making it into the final three. less

The language barrier became a critical issue as teams made their way to Shanghai, China. Unable to properly communicate where they needed to go, long-distance dating couple Kris & Jon, uncharacteristically frustrated, fell to the back of the pack when their driver got lost on the way to the Roadblock and the Detour. Their only saving grace came when engaged models Freddy & Kendra exacted their revenge on formerly dating couple Adam & Rebecca by Yielding them to a last-place finish. However, Adam & Rebecca remained in the race as this was the last pre-determined non-elimination leg. less

After running a relay race in Addis Ababa, teams made their way to the island of Sri Lanka, where a missed train put formerly dating couple Adam & Rebecca squarely in last place. Meanwhile, married pro wrestlers Lori & Bolo led the way for much of the leg until being overtaken by long-distance dating couple Kris & Jon. A fatal mistake at a very close Roadblock made the difference, as Lori & Bolo became the seventh team eliminated from the race. less
