After Carrie Heffernan's mother dies, she invites her dad, Arthur Spooner and sister, Sara, to move in with her and her husband, Doug, much to his dismay. Doug and his sports-watching buddies Richie, Spence and Deacon are kicked out of Doug's TV room to make room for Arthur.
