After reading about the legendary pirate Captain Charles Vane, two young boys explore an old shack at Pirate's Point where they encounter the captain's reclusive ancestor. The old man takes a liking to the boys and teaches them about the history of pirates in the area. With their newfound knowledge, the boys foil the plans of a crooked land developer intent on taking over the old recluse's land for the purpose of finding treasure that is supposedly buried there.
