The Louie Show

Louie Lundgren, a psychotherapist, works at an HMO in Duluth, Minnesota. Lundgren's directness and sense of humor help sustain his relationships with those around him including his best friend, Curt, a tough detective with the Duluth police department; Jake, a brilliant but socially inept young physician who works with Louie at the HMO; Louie's housemate, Gretchen, an energetic and attractive free spirit who has fled Los Angeles to settle in Duluth; Curt's restless wife, Sandy, who has grown increasingly frustrated with her marriage; Louie's sharp-witted assistant, Helen, whose life in a wheelchair has in no way impaired her abilitiy to take on the world; and Kimmy, the quirky waitress working in the HMO building's coffee shop.
