"The Mindy Project" is a new series developed by actress, comedian, writer and producer Mindy Kaling (who is known for her role as Kelly Kapoor in the long-running NBC hit series "The Office"). It premiered on the Fox Network on September 25, 2012. It was delightfully funny to watch a sitcom (written from the perspective of a woman) that caught all the little, nuanced nueroses that make single, spinsterhood women -- well, neurotic...but not in a Glen Close circa Fatal Attraction sort-of-way, but rather in a normal, dorky, loveable and (ok, slightly neurotic) Bridget Jones kind of way. What makes this all the more groundbreaking is that this is the first comedy sitcom with an Indian woman comedian - which is a rarity in hollywood. A trailblazer. To hear the inmistakable sound of M.I.A. during the end credits just cemented my appreciation for this show.
