Intelligently written and acted tv shows are a rarity, and when one comes along it makes you conclude that the viewers are at fault when the rest of the addle minded programs are feed to us on a continuous basis.
Brilliant shows can be written and performed, but only the mass appealing, devoid of substance ones are brought to us by the media because it believes that it is what we want. Jeff Daniels is over the top on this one. The cast is also very good. Some of the human interactions make detract, but overall , I will take it over all others in my 350 plus channels.
