I watch "The Newsroom" and say I wish they had some background in print. I also wish the staff members of "The Newsroom" would attend Investigative Reporters and Editors conferences. Or have IRE members come to your office and help you bone up on IRE and CAR techniques. IRE has events and training, a resource center, and tip sheets. One thing "The Newsroom" could show is someone getting an idea by checking the research center so one does not keep making mistakes over and over again. Or they could call someone from a print person. Most video stuff comes from print stuff anyway.
Wonder why "The Newsroom" isn't presenting at IRE meetings? Why aren't they watching stories from around the country at IRE meetings?
I guess I will buy The Newsroom at Best Buy cause I can no longer afford HBO.
