About The Show
A worldly-wise, working-class cop goes to Cambridge University as personal bodyguard to a college-bound Prince of the Royal Family. Both men are soon smitten by Grace, an American exchange student, but Barry the bodyguard represses his own urges to give the inexperienced Prince lessons in the delicate art of seduction. Inept at both love and learning, the Prince relies increasingly on Barry for help with both. Ghostwriting love lines and academic assignments, the macho bodyguard develops a taste for poetry, all the while possessing a secret longing for Grace. When the college mounts a production of "Cyrano de Bergerac," with Grace and the Prince cast in starring roles, Barry becomes a last-minute replacement for an indisposed actor.
