This show blows American Idol off the map.
If you appreciate singing and harmonies, there is no singing competition on television that even comes close. The degree to which these people make music with only their voices is stunning.
Having said that, I was blown away by Afro Blue's beautiful rendition of Corinne Bailey Rae (Put Your Records On), then absolutely floored by their rendition of American Boy. Their harmonies are so sophisticated, yet they make it sound so effortless and soothing, the bass (Reggie) is absurd, Mariah is adorable, and Christy & Danielle's lead vocals are intoxicating.
I have seen every episode of The Sing Off since its inception, tons of amazing performances, but in my view Afro Blue is the best, not only for this season, but all three seasons combined, including the two previous winners. When they sing I never want the song to end.
