Everyone has the right to be allowed to die. The people that are living at this retirement home want their wishes to die naturally to be abided by. The comments your hosts made were, unfortunately, without thought or education about what DNR means. The only thing the nurse at the retirement home may have done wrong was call 911. She should have called the family to allow them to get to their loved ones side as soon as possible so they could say "good bye" to her/him and be comforted that they were there.
