About The Show
The play, considered to be Shakespeare's final complete work for the stage, is the story of the great magician, Prospero, the former Duke of Milan now in exile on an enchanted island. He exerts control over all the characters in the play, friends and enemies alike, in his effort to reconcile everyone and return home to Milan. After numerous complications, Prospero employs his magic for the last time to dispell his own powers, asking the audience to let him go his way with the entreaty, "As you from crimes would pardon'd be, Let your indulgence set me free."
