About The Show

A new adaptation of Sophocles' trilogy dating from 400 B.C. about King Oedipus and his doomed legacy; each play is two hours long. In Part 1, "Oedipus the King," Oedipus fails to escape his fate and discovers he has killed his father, King Laius, and that Queen Jocasta, who has borne him a child, is actually his mother. In Part 2, "Oedipus at Colonus," Oedipus and his daughter, Antigone, travel to Colonus, where the gods decree that Oedipus's dead body will bless the country where it lies. In Part 3, "Antigone," Oedipus's daughter displays her moral determination to do her duty to her family.
