Horrible. Pathetic. Hope no season 3.

The series started out pretty good and then just fizzled. It's a movie about the walking dead. OK. I love zombie flicks. This is a shallow, nonsensical series that, just like the zombies, just needs a good shot to the head to put it out of its misery. Ever been in a pine forest in the southeast? You can hear a small deer walking 100 yards away, but these people can't hear a dead zombie walking through said pine forest, breaking the underbrush, noising about, and so forth. This series should be called the walking DEAF.

So much time is spent with this series trying to be a gut-wrenching, heartstring-pulling drama that there's no time for the actual zombies. I lost interest at the farmhouse, and after ep 1 in season two we were so buried in "drama" and "feelings" and "morals" that I felt like I was watching a daytime soap opera instead of what the title entails. Other than the occassional good undead makeup job, even the zombies are just not believable.

Other than a few characters, most of the actors come off as either shallow script-readers or overacting "Captain Kirks". Plots are shallow, too much "teachy, preachy" drama and not enough action.

Lastly, even undead flesh decays. How are so many intact zombies still shambling about. More bone, less flesh.

Please, Dear AMC, make it stop.
