To The Ends of the Earth

The passengers get increasingly concerned about the safety of the ship. Mr Prettiman and Miss Granham get married. Summers asks Edmund to become a midshipman. Edmund discovers that they are heading towards ice and the ship appears to be doomed. Captain Anderson manages to turn the ship around, just in time. Despite all the hazards the ship finally reaches shore. Edmund puts in a good word and Summers is promoted to Captain. Edmund is reunited with Marion. less

Mr. Prettiman is injured when the wind blows hard and knocks him over. Miss Granham takes care of him, and the two announce their engagement. A ship is sighted in the distance, which ends up being a British ship announcing that the war is over. Edmund meets Marion and falls in love, but due to his injury he cannot express himself. Wheeler, who is terrified of drowning when the boat is damaged, shoots himself. less
