This show started out well, but then quickly degenerated into stupidity. WHY can't people make TV shows and movies which accurately follow the books? The books are well-written and funny, with plenty of action and drama; so WHY these insane departures?

This show is good for the most part, except when Sookie is on the screen. She takes the cake for me as the worst female protagonist in the history of television.
