About The Show
Drama focusing on a multi-generational African-American family in middle-class Seattle, Washington. Ron Langston, an ex-marine, is dealing with the pressures of starting a new business. His wife, Maggie, is making the change from full-time mother to working woman but is nervous about entering the work force after a 20-year absence and is afraid that her children, Derrick, a 10-year-old diabetic, and Charlie, 15, will need her at home. Neb Langston, Ron's father, is a recently widowed police officer who has raised two children and now has a foster child, Marcus, a 16-year-old who has been abused. Neb's daughter, Ayisha, dutifully mediates the situation.
