About The Show
A spin-off of M*A*S*H. Following his release from the army in 1954, 4077 M*A*S*H company clerk Walter "Radar" O'Reilly returns to his home in Iowa with hopes of working the family farm. When he is unable to make the farm pay for itself, Walter marries his girlfriend, Sandy, and heads for Missouri to begin a new life. Enroute to Gooseneck Falls for their honeymoon, Sandy deserts Walter when she falls in love with a garage mechanic.
Dismayed but determined to pick up the pieces of his shattered life, Walter travels to St. Louis, where he joins the police department, and adjusts to life as a rookie cop.
