A continuation of the "Maverick" series that ran on ABC from 1957 to 1962 and dealt with the exploits of three slick gamblers, brothers Bret and Bart (James Garner and Jack Kelly), and their suave British cousin, Beau (Roger Moore). Although there is a seventeen-year gap between series, the new version continues the same storyline and again details the exploits of a Maverick -- Beau's son, Ben, a suave, fast-talking gambler who roams throughout the west seeking rich prey.
