About The Show
A television movie comedy about the military mishaps of an overprotective mother who follows her teenage son into airborne training with the Army. Brenda Andersen, a widow who lost her husband, a paratrooper, in Vietnam, wants to steer her only son Jimmy out of Army airborne training and into college. To be near him, she masquerades as an AWOL soldier at Fort Benning. When they finally come face-to-face at the base, Jimmy makes a deal with his mother: If she can complete basic training, he will forego the final jump. Despite the grueling regimen, Brenda is determined to prove herself.
