Set in the Mohave Desert, three stories follow separate bands of travelers across the barren wilderness. The fates of Mafia men who are being pursued by bounty hunters, converge with the fates of several others: a young drifter, a pack of graduate students and a beautiful young woman. Unaware of one another yet unavoidably woven together by fate, all of the travelers find their lives unraveling at the same time, torn apart by deception, distrust and betrayal.
