Identical twins, adopted separately at birth, are accidentally reunited as teenagers. Tia and Tamera hit it off immediately and vow to stay together. However, Tia's single mother Lisa, a resourceful extrovert, and Tamera's widowed father Ray, a conservative introvert, have nothing in common except the girls. For the sake of the twins, the two single parents agree to live together as an extended family.
