Hannah Montana from "Hannah Montana" -- Fans may not be willing to pay $3000 for a ticket to see you perform, but you can still look like a teen star this Halloween with a few key items. "Put on lots of accessories. Layered necklaces will work great,” says Dahlia Foroutan, the show’s costume designer. Foroutan also recommends sequined, leather, and satin pieces, a denim jacket and a sparkly scarf.” Top the costume off with some cowboy boots and a blonde wig and you’ll be looking like a pop princess in no time. Starbuck from "Battlestar Galactica" -- To get the super galactic look of the sexy Starbuck, start by buying a long blonde wig and cutting it in the short, blunt style of Starbuck’s ‘do. For clothing, chop the sleeves off a grey, form-fitting T-shirt and then wear a black, racer-back tank top backwards over the shirt. Top it off with some army green cargo pants, black high-top sneakers, and a fake gold medallion necklace from an accessories store. And, of course, you’ll need a tattoo. According to Carey Bennett, the show’s costume designer, think drab, monochromatic colors to get started. “Make the color of the shirt and tie match the suit. Work with ochre, olive or muddy brown because they are practical and don't show dirt,” she says. “I think Dwight figures that if things match in color they go together as an outfit.” The short-sleeve, button-up work shirt is essential and you can easily find what you need at a thrift store. Frank from "30 Rock" -- It won’t take long to turn into everybody’s favorite TGS writer this Halloween. “Frank’s look is pretty easy to nail. It’s really about the hat, the glasses and the crazy hair,” says Tom Broecker, costume designer for “30 Rock” and “Saturday Night Live.” Broecker recommends buying curly dark hair extensions (or cutting pieces off a curly wig) and sewing or duct taping them to the inside of a plain, trucker hat. You can pick up half-inch press on letters at any art or crafts store and create a phrase or name to wear across the front of the hat. “It changes every episode, and sometimes it changes within the episode,” adds Broecker. (previous phrases featured on the hat have included “Ninja Expert” “Kill Screen” and “Mystery Shopper”). To keep it authentic, pick up some oversized black ‘70s-style glasses, Wrangler cargo jeans, a solid T-shirt, and plain white sneakers. Top it off with a black, long-haired wig cut to feature blunt bags, and of course, some red framed glasses. (And if you happen to be currently blessed with braces, even better!) To look like Betty’s Henry, fellas should part their hair on the side, slick it down, and don some brown-framed glasses. Then pick up a black Dracula wig at a Halloween store and your transformation will be complete. Since Cheryl’s dresses cost a pretty penny, you can cheat a little by buying a form-fitting, long-sleeve “sexy witch” dress at a Halloween store and sewing some pieces of red fabric to the bottom for some flair (see photo).
