#10: Laugh if you will, but Chris delivered a leopard-print knockout for WWE Diva Maria, and we loved it all the way down to the itty-bitty booty shorts. #9: When designers were given outdated trends to modernize, it wasn’t lost on anyone that Jillian’s overalls were one of the options. #8: We love when the designers are challenged to dress “real” bodies. In “What’s the Skinny” designers had to transform a “fat” garment into a “fashionable” one for a group of women who had lost a lot of weight. #7: Although it was probably too sophisticated for a prom dress (costing her the win), Sweet P’s champagne number from the “What a Girl Wants” challenge was breathtaking. #6: The most fun designs emerged from the “Eye Candy” challenge, which forced designers to use only materials found in a Hershey’s store. #4: Christian was the most talented designer in a season filled with experienced professionals. How’s that for fierce? #3: In a task that was overwrought with denim “blah,” Christian knocked our socks off with a new twist on an old fashion staple. Using the sleeves of a denim jacket as the leg on a skinny jean, Christian was the only designer to update blue jeans in this Levi’s-inspired challenge. #2: Of course Chris and Christian’s “En Garde!” project is in the final two. Take a look at the detail in this design, and then remember that they had just two days to conceptualize and create the gown, and on top of that they had to create a second ready-to-wear look inspired by the original piece. #1: Jillian and Victorya may have lost to C&C in the “En Garde!” challenge, but their trench was one of the most dramatic yet playful designs to hit “Runway” during Season 4. We literally gasped as it swooped around the corner and made its way down the catwalk. If J&V had made a ready-to-wear version of the jacket, surely the judges would have given them the win.
