Smallville = Dawson's Creek, One Tree Hill, etc
January 29, 2007
Smallville sucks, BIG TIME.
All the writers have done with 'Smallville' is to turn the early part of the Superman myth into some twisted 'Dawson's Creek' type of teen/twentysomething soap opera with some sci-fi to justify the concept and tired writing. Tom Welling is utterly unconvincing as a young Superman (he got the gig 'cause he's so damned pretty; right, girls?), and the fact is that they haven't given the lead character (that's Clark/Kal-El, right?) any balls.
I guess this one's just for teenaged girls.

Very appealing!...
February 12, 2007
After reading some of the other reviews I would have to agree with everyone. No, it doesn't portray Clark K exactly but it does show how he is growing up and finding who 'HE' is. It does make it more believable to see him make a few mistakes. No one is perfect. Personally I don't care for the way he fawns over Lana either. I think Lois is the perfect match for him. She is vivacious, bold, daring and mischievious. Not to mention the fact that in the original series Lana is with Lex as it should be. Lana is to sappy for Clark.
The fact that Clark's powers have been put on the back burner is is rather irritating. And to be perfectly honest there is no possible way that so many horrific events can occur in one little town.
Chloe is perfectly fine as Clark's best friend. To be there to help him (or bail him) out of trouble when needed.
It does seem like there are to many episodes that go out into the left field and are a little to far out there and leave me feeling like'what was that all about'.
But all in all I do love the show. There is no doubt that Tom Wells is a major heart throb with a capital HT. I think he is a perfect match for the part.
Get over Lana! Discover and use more of his powers. Start working him into his disguise. Put those gifts to work for the sake of mankind. And open his eyes to Lois. Perfection!!

Like the Poor Farm Boy become HERO with values
May 1, 2008
I guess I like the reverse hero concept. The farm boy who actually has powers to save the world. It's sci-fi but also somewhat religious. The particular episode that put him on a pole (or was it a cross) brought the parallel together. I love the show as I did the first series of Superman and the movies. I think this particular actor, Tom Welling, is the best yet to play the part.
I personally look forward to the time when he flies more and does some of the whole world saving actions. Far down the road, I'm sure.
Keep up the good work! - all of the actors and writers and staff that make it possible.

Smallville, Best show on TV
April 29, 2008
The show is a Great Family Show to watch , together.....My children Love it, and even my Parents Love the show.....Clark is an all around " Great Guy ".......Someone you would want your children to emulate......The Lana story line has gotten a bit old, and its time to bring Lois more into the picture....They sometimes fly thru a story, when they could write it out longer, and make it more appealing, and more excitement would be created......5 out of 5 Stars......
