Why did they stop making a winner?
September 20, 2007
Watched the original Star Trek some when I was a child, but did not enjoy it nearly as much as TNG. As you can tell, in every version there is one character that is unique: Spock, then Data, then Odo, Seven of Nine etc. TNG is indeed my favorite show of the Star Trek series. All of the versions are similar in that they convey that you should always do the right thing and be ethical and moral. I guess seven seasons were not enough for me. Why didnt they just let TNG perform all the story lines of all the versions after it.

Just 16 days til the Big Convention in Vegas!
July 21, 2008
TNG is a great series. It is for those who can think outside the box. The cast is well suited and do a superb job of acting. I like how the writing allows each character to express themselves in other areas of expertise such as singing or playing a musical instrument.
I have met the casts from all the genres and the folks from Voyager are by far the most personable. Don't get me wrong, the are all very gracious and treat the fans well.
My daughter is the big Trekker in our house.(They used to be called Trekkies, but now are called Trekkers) We have attended 20 + conventions in the past 15 years. The biggest one is next month at the Hilton in Vegas. It is 5 days this year. If you have never been to The experience in the Hilton now is the time to go since it will forever close on September 1,2008. Be sure to have a meal in Quark's Bar. It's a fun place to go even without the convention.
PS all the series were planned to run 7 years from start to finish. The original series as well as Enterprise failed to have the rating to support the 7 year run. :)

WOULD APPRECIATE , EVEN MORE RERUNS
April 4, 2008
THE WORLD COULD TAKE A LESSON FROM THE SERIES. THEY ALL GET ALONG IN A NEW WORLD OF MANY SPECIES. THEY HAVE GOTTEN RID OF MOST OF THE SUBSTANCES THAT HURT YOUR BODY. THEY DON'T FIND IT NECESSARY TO USE FOUL LANGUAGE TO GET THE POINT ACROSS, AND YET STAR TREK HAS BEEN ONE OF THE LONGEST RUNNING, MOST IMITATED, AND BEST LOVED OF ALL TIME.MOST PEOPLE THAT DON'T LIKE IT....HAVN'T TAKEN THE TIME TO GET INTO IT. I KNOW THAT BY MY FRIENDS THAT SAID THEY DON'T LIKE IT BUT WOULD HUMOR ME AND WATCH IT WITH ME, ONCE THEY LEARNED SOME CHARACTERS AND SOME OF THEIR WAYS AND BELIEFS...THEY WERE CAUGHT. I CAN RARELY FIND IT ON MY CABLE, EVEN, AND MISS ALL OF MY STAR TREK FRIENDS.

Excellent shows and great cast
October 6, 2007
I've been a fan of star trek since the very beginning in 1966.
The Star Trek universe has changed in many ways, some good, some bad. Star Trek the next generatiion has to many stories about the Klingons and the Fergini. These characters are my least favorite ones in the series. With the exception of that minor detail the show is great. When it comes to Star Trek on dvd, I am disapointed in the box sets of all the Star Trek shows, it should be easier to get to the disc, and there should have been cast pictures on all the box sets for each show.
