survivor needs to survive the cliche it is in

    August 5, 2007
there is no doubt that survivor ushered the influx of these reality-based tv shows. suffice it to state, it's the pioneer in its genre. however the island concept or show location has been used ad nauseam, making the show look like it's a constant cycle of repeat this and that with just new faces.
true to a previously posted review, survivor needs a new location for its show. better yet, they should start pushing the boundaries of the notion of a survivor show.

a series for people without lives of their own!

    June 28, 2007
this so-called adventure series reminds me of my cub scout camp days. It is however, even more juvenile. the entire survivor series and similar programing seems to bring out the worst in the competitors as well as the viewers. The premice of danger is pushed in slick editing and comes across as fake and contrived. I have the same feeling with the amazing race, Pirates, the wwf rasslin, big brother, and the apprentice. when shows of this type air I try to find more enjoyable distractions (for example) turn the television off, do laundry, take an insulin shot or hold my hand on a hot stove burner!!!!! NETWORK TELEVISION is said to be on the skids and shows like this in my humble opinion, are a major reason. Whew! With that off my chest I will try to find some three year olds to read nursery rymes! Earl & Cassandra???

    May 15, 2007
There it was, Sunday. The Finale! You have to hand it to Dreamz, he was well, er, lucky? He played the game, "he" was the one who slithered, as he put it, describing the other players. But then wasn't Yau hedging his bet? He thought he could "play" the D but uhoh! D wasn't playing fair to begin with.

Yau trusted Earl a little too much and thought since D got the truck well you know the jealousy thing. The biggest suprise???

Well in my opinion Cassandra was watin in the wings. For what? Just a tag along you say, well maybe but I think she knew Earl was the winner. Earl admitted when his bud Yau got voted off (which he helped to do) that he had " Just won a million dollars" Earl's words.

What was Cass waiting for? Her Knight in shining armor maybe? Ahh but Earl-Andra was not to be.

    Smartest- Earl
    Slickest- Dreamz
    Most gullible- Yau

    One word Dreamz...KARMA

    May 14, 2007
I LOVE Survivor, but BOY was I hopping mad watching Dreamz go back on his word. Did he REALLY think he could win even a single vote after stabbing Yau in the back?? I bet my mother while watching that he MIGHT get one vote, but that was being overly optimistic. My thought is this: He didn't have a shot at the million by going back on his word, so he was going home with nothing either way. He should have kept his word and gone home with the little bit of integrity left (I'm not sure how much if any he had to begin with, but you have to start somewhere... this could have been a step in the right direction). Plus he's got what I understand is a $60,000 truck. So sell the truck, get yourself a used car, and you've got some cash to help the family. Furthermore, my guess would have been that indeed Yauman would have won (Yauman ROCKS) and would have turned around again and shared with Dreamz if even just a small percent of the million (maybe, maybe not). Really, how can that man (Dreamz) drive that truck around with a clear conscience (spelling?). Sell the truck Dreamz - donate to a charity. Try to right your wrong. I can't believe how MAD I feel!!! Anyway Dreamz, what goes around comes around...

    Stupid Dreamz

    May 14, 2007
Dreamz has IQ of zero and no respect. He remind me of people sending me emial - telling me that beloved brother in Christ bla-bla-bla and they inherit $10 million but need $10000 to get thier million, people from Africa. They pretty are all same mentality. Dreamz should get with Yau and vote off Earl and he has more chance of winning million. STUPID...TUPID STUPIDO....what can I say..
