After a Vanuatu arrival ceremony, the contestants arrive on the island of Vanuatu to compete for the title of "Survivor." They quickly are separated by gender into the Lopevi and Yasur tribes. The women win immunity. Brook Geraghty is sent home.
Groups start to form between the older and younger competitors. The women win their second challenge, angering Rory. But it's the men who wins immunity. Dolly Neely is eliminated from the competition.
Eliza had some explaining to do when Dolly was unexpectedly eliminated. Rory continues to get fed up with getting told what to do. Twila and Mia argue over labor. John Kenney gets to determine who wins immunity in the women's tribe. John Palyok and Mia Galeotalanza are the next contestants eliminated from the competition.
Lisa and Eliza clash over shifting alliances. The women win help from a tribesman in finding food. The women win immunity due to Rory's poor leadership skills. Brady Finta is sent home.

The tribes merge before the immunity challenge as the Alinta Tribe. Sarge wins immunity. Rory warns the men of a gender alliance. Rory Freeman is eliminated from the competition.
The men realize they were deceived. Leann and Julie get the reward of a picnic on a dormant volcano. Eliza is revealed as the women's weak link. Ami gets immunity. Lea "Sarge" Masters is eliminated.
The winners of the first challenge get to experience Vanuatu customs, while the losers endured a horrible rainstorm. Twila wins immunity. Chad Crittenden is sent home, leaving only one man left in the competition.
Chris plays against Scout and Twila to save himself. Eliza wins the reward with an overnight visit with her mother. Ami wins immunity. Leann Slaby is eliminated from the competition.
Ami felt betrayed after Leann was voted out, but Twila and Scout were relieved their plan worked. Eliza won a car in a challenge, plus a night of pampering with the runners up. Chris wins the immunity challenge. Ami Cusack is voted off the island.
