Very Funny
April 6, 2007
I went and saw a taping of this show, and was pleasantly surprized! I thought it was really funny! Its interesting to see which actors can pull off the improv thing and which actors freeze! Tom Green was great and so was the girl, Chelsea Handler, from Girls Behaving Badly! I would definitley set your tivo for this one!!

disappointed
April 10, 2007
I was excited to see this show. I love improv comedy and the premise just seemed like the perfect vehicle for comedic genius. But by the time Jennifer Coolidge stammered out her "um" filled routine, I was bored. I would expect these actors to be much quicker on their feet. I couldn't even get through the entirety of the second episode. Don't get me wrong; there were some highlights of the show which I laughed at, including Knight and McHale's performances, but overall I found the set-ups banal and the actors' improvisational skills lacking.
However, the consummate worst and most annoying part of the show is Mr. Judgy McJudgerton himself: Dave Foley. The camera constantly reverts to shots of him engaging in pretend hysteria at the corny lines being uttered on stage. He concludes each performance with a perjurious report of what he supposedly thinks the actors did which was funny. And he waits too long to press the button on unfunny skits. He is just an annoying distraction in the show.
I will tune in next week, but probably only sporadically after that. The show is just not as funny as it could be.

Thank God for Great TV
April 10, 2007
Thank God You're Here is a super great show! My roommate and I were unsure if we wanted to sit though 2 hours of it but, after the first skit we were hooked. It was super funny and I am a huge fan of David Allen Grier and Dave Foley from when they were part of there own skit shows (Grier 'In Living Color', Foley 'Kids in the Hall'). We cant wait for next weeks episode and hope that is runs for a long time.

The time has finally come television makes a step back to it's roots of "ENTERTAINMENT". The first episode was the single most hilarious thing I've seen on TV in years, and the follow-up made me laugh that much more. I can't wait to see tonight's episode - Thanks NBC for adding this show to your line-up!
