    What???!?!

    November 20, 2007
I don't understand it either... he didn't have to propose to either of the girls. However, he could have asked one to formally date (without any other girls around!) to see if there were any real feelings- I think viewers would have been a lot happier with that. I do feel he played those poor girls

Can love exist in a matter of weeks?

    December 2, 2007
I never watched a full season of The Bachelor until this season and frankly I watched because the bachelor was a Hot Texan (being from Texas orginally myself) I know we are made better down there! Anyways, I am sure this is a quite an unpopular female opinion, but if he was not ready to commit to either one of those girls for the long haul than he did the right thing. I think it is crazy to think that you can fall in love with someone and be ready to marry them after a matter of weeks. I believe in LUST at first sight, but not love! Love takes time...it takes seeing someone at their worst and still thinking they are the most beautiful creature in the world. Love can not be made in a matter of weeks in front of millions of viewers in a controlled environment. I thought the ending of the show was brilliant. It shows the world that love, commitment, engagement and marriage are not one dimensional and should not be entered into lightly!!

After Reading Others Review of the Bachelor

    November 21, 2007
There is a saying: "If you the choice to choose between 2 evils; choose neither." This show is a chance show. You are not guaranteed that the one for you is in that group of future "Desperate House Wives." After reading some of the reviews, I can see how "Brain Dead" this sad generation of human beings are. The Bachelor (Brad) stated that he has has bad experiences with other women. Why are so many of you dogging the guy. These little female foxes were dropping the word "love" like a horse with loose bowels. They're too immature to know what love is. Like the song goes: "You Don't Know Me." What kind of person give "DEEP" kisses to a stranger? Another Song: "Getting to Know You, Getting to Know All About You." Who today knows what a gentle touch, a kiss on the cheek, respect and a helping hand can do to & for one's emotions. Some of you have called Brad so many names for no good reason. He never met these women before. He didn't call them up on the phone or write a letter telling them that he loved them and wanted to marry them. They are the ones who got into the game thinking that they were the one for him. Just because he did not choose one of the last two women does not indicate that he is arrogant or "GAY." Did anyone pay attention to his body movements? He wasn't comfortable in this semi form of an 'ORGY." This show is a BLIND DATE situation. Some of you who are writing are so miserable yourselves and desparate and wish you had the chance and would grab the 1st. man or woman who would say that they loved you, you condemn and man who cares about his life and futrue family life. Jumping in the sack won't get it. Many of you speak negatively about the show because it didn't turn out the way YOU wanted it to. The Bachelor program shows many things about how people think. I'm happy to say it shows how "fickle" Americans are today. The show does not is not produced to embarass people' it show how life is today how people think. These girlsn(not women) embarassed themselves. What real woman with good morals would throw themselves at a stranger tha way they did. They were unruly and wild like attention crazed spoiled children. If anyone saw the "Ten Commandments and how the sisters thought that (Moses) played by Charleston Heston would choose them but he chose the sister that had business on her mind; caring for the sheep. Many of you constantly are referring to these females as "Beautiful" trsk, tsk!!! I would have been good to see them without the make-up and wearing every day clothes and maybe a pony tail. The Bachelor show is good because it shows the REAL people in the world. It allows those who are thinkers to look & see how the Trade Winds are Blowing. These silly girls were like "Young Girls who are either or will become Street Walkers in the Night. No matter what the other Bachelor shows have done, this Bachelor showed a side that a real man will not allow himself to be controlled by TV shows. Brad never promised these females anything. He was a gentleman. He did not have a smooth 'RAP' and slick tongue like the Pimps. He could teach many of the celebrities today a lesson. They are throwing away $$$$ on so-called nice girls getting them pregnant and a life time paying child support and alimony & child support. This is a new way that women and some men have created a way of having others take care of them and they not work for it. ABC this is the good show. Hopefully it will open the eyes of many young women. ABC is not out to humiliate these females; they brought all this upon themselves. If they really loved the Bachelor (Brad) they would have bowed out gracefully. The humiliated themselves by telling a stranger that they were madly in love with him. (That is so fickle). This show does have some negative to the rich Bachelor because this exposes HIM to many money and fame hungry wolves. He's already a millionaire and does not appear to be one who is seeking fame and more money so why would some of the viewers think and say that was why he got on the show. This show was a REAL, reality show. Society has and is degrading men. Men looking like the brainless gender and the women and children are leading the family. The men are almost non existent. This Bachelor show even surprised the producers that this Bachelor stood up and did not allow ABC nor the made up faces and half dressed paper dolls and the public to dictate his decision. He did not lead these girls on; they led him on with empty words of their false dreams. This Bachelor experienced MORE pain than these females could ever know. Their is more pain in having to hurt another person whether friend or foe than one who feels the hurt of being rejected by a stranger. Females must learn that you never imagine in their minds that just because someone tells you that you are beautiful or lovely that they shoul start making wedding plans and picturing a house and white picket fences. Just appreciate an compliment with grace and watch and see where the person is going. " Let the chips fall where they may. For the viewers who say they will not look at this show again; so be it!!!!! Even when they are dead and gone the world will continue to Turn and so will the Bachelor Show. Even as sweet as the grandmother of Jenni was; she now gone but Jenni still has to live her life. Tears can be washed away but the pain in the heart can always be felt and I'm sure Brad's heart felt pain will always be remembered and felt when he meets another prospect and he will be even more cautious in making a life long decision. This show, I'm sure will have taught the next Bachelor to never choose between two evils. For those who are thinkers, this show will probably cause the ratings to go up. CURIOUSITY always will draw a crowd.
"Way To Go Brad" You don't have to seek publicity. He' not a "pushover!!!!" His parents taught him well and I'm sure they are proud of their son. I know,I AM!!!!! Men , Pay attention and live!!!!!!

    Shame on you!

    November 20, 2007
Shame on you, and I don't mean Brad Womack! I cannot believe that anyone would dream up such a horrible show. How in God's green earth do you expect anyone to meet, develop a serious relationship, and then fall in love, all on national television, in the space of time that is less than 4 months? I congratulate Brad for being so courageous, despite breaking 2 beautiful women's hearts. He didn't cave in to the executive's pressure to make a decision. With the divorce rate being at 50%, he made the right decision in not proposing marriage to either of the 2 women. And bless their hearts, as well. I think everyone involved was manipulated by ABCs executives for profit, pure and simply. They are blood-sucking, money-hungry fiends, only concerned about the bottom line, which is, once again, money.

    The girls got lucky

    November 20, 2007
I just got finished watching "After The Final Rose". It did not answer any of my questions, and I don't think it did for the two women left standing either. What I have wondered about all season, and in times past, is the dialogue spoken by the bachelor his own or is it written for him? Not once did I hear him professing all of the doubts and reservations that he was spouting off in the past two nights. This guy spent several weeks partying his tail off with anywhere from two to twenty five beautiful women. Living in high style, becoming a celebrity, appearing on talk shows and the early morning news shows, taking three women on overnight dates, and you can imagine what went on there, and when did he ever say, "Uh, Chris, you guys need to get me twenty five more, because NONE of these do it for me"? There is no set rule that the bachelor has to propose. Remember a few seasons ago when the bachelor asked for two extra months to privately interact with the final two before he made his choice? One of the others gave out a promise ring, instead of an engagement ring. The thing that is so ridiculous, is just like Jenni said tonight. If he can stand there and tell Deanna she is everything he could want in a woman, then why totally dump her? He could have said, look, I care about you, I'm not ready to get married just yet, let's hang out and see where it goes. From what she said tonight, she would have been perfectly happy for that to have happened. You can't put a time limit on love, but if someone is everything you could want, you don't turn around and walk away. He said tonight he's not dating anyone. I have heard he is back with an ex-girlfriend, and I would suspect there is something else involved here, because the excuses he was trying to make just don't ring true. He says there is not a day that has gone by in the past two and a half months that he has not thought of her. That he thinks about her all of the time. What? He has a broken heart, too, poor thing, but why is his heart broken when he did the kicking to the curb? All he had to do was pick one, and he wouldn't have a broken heart, so I don't feel a bit sorry for him. There is a dishonest streak in him anyway, the way he sent his twin brother in to try and trick the girls in the first place. Then he wants to sit there with that wide eyed innocent look and wax poetic about being open and honest about everything. These two girls got played. They all did really, but these two more than the others. I would have paid money to see Deanna tell him that, she walked in, she could walk herself out, when he said, now I have to walk you out after his little show of histrionics. A well placed knee would have been a nice touch as well, but then maybe she's more of a lady than I am. I don't know if at some point he was honest with the producers, and they said he had to see it through. I don't know if they were caught off guard as much as these two women and the viewing public. I don't know if this was some kind of added ratings stunt by ABC. There have been eleven of these Bachelor/Bachelorette shows. We saw the only two couples tonight that are still together out of all of them. That's right. Check the website. Even the "Officer and Gentleman" and Meredith have already split up. It's not as though he could not have given it a try and then let it go later if it didn't work out. I just can't believe all of this week after week of "it's so hard to let you go" and all of this garbage, and he really didn't have one woman out of twenty five that he wanted to take out to dinner where he had to pay for it. It looked like some bad B movie acting on Brad's part when he was out there with Deanna. I hope Jenni and Deanna can get on with their lives and someday realize how they have probably just had a lucky escape.
