Cliff and Clair are thrilled that summer vacation is over and that the Huxtable children will be going back to school. Rudy is bothered by a bully in her new first-grade class and doesn't want to go back. Theo is upset because he has a very difficult math teacher, and Vanessa wants to impress the boys when she enters her first day of junior high. Now a high school senior, Denise is shocked when she makes plans with her friends and is not grilled by Cliff.
