The District TV Show - The District Television Show - Yahoo! TV

I'm with Terrie. I just discovered "The District" and wish it hadn't been cancelled. I don't watch TV much anymore, because there is so much cr*p on now. If there were more shows like this, I would reconsider!

I think The District was one of the best shows ever created. I only started watching it on reruns, and love every episode. Is there any plans to bring The District back? If not please think about it. I am tired of all these reality programs that are on all the time.

Having resided in and around D. C. for over 45 years I resisted watching this show until recently and found myself enthralled!. I loved Jack Mannion...his campy colourful dress, his marvelous reference to old movies, songs and dance. The interaction between cast members is quite impressive and so durn believable. Like showing the interaction/reaction by the various policing agencies here in the real District, which number about 30, that are known to the general public. And still we have, if not the highest we sure are rite up there, crime rate. The show portrayed with great accuracy some of the projects that helped improve life for many of us who are NOT RICH, FAMOUS OR POLITICIANS. I have been so bummed that 2008 began WITHOUT THE DISTRICT! With all the dumb shows on tv/cable these days, I mean tell me the truth do ya know anyone who really watches, ummm, JAG? I guess I am not too surprised it has been taken off. THE SHOW IS JUST TOO GOOD AND TOO REAL. I am experiencing such withdrawal symptoms am just gonna have to talk my family into purchasing the complete dvd for my 73rd birthday.so I celebrate that day by watching from START to FINISH, Jack and the crew in glorious action! Happy Birthday to me indeed.

I loved "The District" when it originally aired and I am still watching re-runs! Can't get enough of it! I wish the TV goons would make more shows like this and Jag and forget about the junk they dump on us now!
