Det. "Bunk" Moreland finds Det. McNulty still drinking being up all night looking through unsolved murder cases. Bunk is worried that they are both going to be in trouble over Marlo. Bunk insists that McNulty keep his name out of the case file. McNulty creates a "red ribbon" serial killer by planting evidence, but Bunk wants nothing to do with it. Mayor Carcetti gets information abotu the latest crime statistics. Valcheck wants the mayor to fire the Police Commissioner. Gutierrez is disappointed when Haynes guts her story. The Commissioner sees different crime stats than what Valcheck reported--they show no drop in crime. Marlo and Snoop show up at Little Johnny's to complete a deal. Rhonda Pearlman presents her case against Senator Davis to the grand jury. Marlo and Chris visit Proposition Joe for help on money laundering. Michael, Dukie and Bug go to Six Flags. Twigg gets to report on the Daniels story. Vondas refuses to deal with Marlo unless he delivers his money clean, the way Proposition Joe does. Marlo wants to know where Omar is. When McNulty and Barlow present the information about the serial killer to Landsman, he is uninterested. Cheese brings Chris Partlow information about Butchie. Monk gives Michael a hard time for being gone all day. Marlo is uncomfortable with the money laundering. Marla warns Daniels to talk to Burrell before Burrell brings out his file on Daniels. Clay Davis asks Carcetti for help with the Grand Jury case. McNulty and Freamon talk about how to make the serial killer case more sensational and Bunk is frustrated that they are continuing with the farce. Omar learns of Butchie's murder and decides his vacation is over.
