This program is off my list...
January 25, 2007These judges are NUTS. During the last episode, they made a point of saying that top chefs have to be leaders, work with a team, etc. (when they were chastising the group after Cliff strong-armed Marcel and got himself kicked off). That being the case, why would they stand behind Marcel--he has NEVER been able to get along with anyone. He is pompous, selfish, self-serving--obnoxious. He should have been eliminated weeks ago! And, as for Tom's comment last night that Sam didn't cook anything, Merriam's definition of "cook" states "to prepare food for eating," so Tom is WRONG. I will not watch the final episode because the wrong people were selected. The judges should be eliminated!Was this review helpful to you? Sign in to rate -

Subjective as Figure Skating
January 25, 2007Viewers must not lose sight that this is a show designed to sell advertising hits and not based upon anything other than subjective criteria. Credibility of judgments are not as important as creating controversy to increase the number of viewers.
My opinion is the selection of Ilan and Marcel will backfire and hurt the ratings of the finale show, at least for this year. On the other hand, people do slow down to see automobile accidents on the expressway, so there you go Marcel.
The elimination of Sam was disappointing and subjective. Frankly, I think is is because he physically resembled last year's winner, Harold. Had Elia not clearly "lost" the competition with her visibly poor performances, I expected her to make it to the last two, if only to attract a greater audience in the important young woman demographic. The Judges need Judging
January 31, 2007Chef Tom, make up your mind.
In one show you chastise Betty for not being a leader when she won't slam her fellow contestants. You said "this show is also about being a leader."
Then you chastise Elia as if she's a schoolgirl and tell her its only about the food.
Two points. First, pick a path. Either it is only about the food or its all about ratings. Second, Betty was right to not slam her co-chefs. Real leaders don't chastise their people in front of others.
I'm taking your chef title away. I hope you can cook because your acting is stinking up the kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO MARCEL!!!! GO!!!!
January 31, 2007Marcel is the only decent person left in the end!!!! The other ones were jealous of him and act like children!!!!! Ilan, Beth and Sam were the worst of them. Waiting desperate for your next show.
November 29, 2006I love your show, for the reason that they do recipes that are nice elegant and is really realistic. Most reality shows are a little fake, in topchef we can see how the contestant interact in there other places. Not only in the kitchen. i hope i would find recipes on this page but i didn't find any.
