    Changed Television Forever...

    January 3, 2007
80s TV was a fun, yet empty, decade - full of mindless sitcoms and mostly mediocre dramas. Then, in 1990, Twin Peaks came along...

Lost, X-Files, Northern Exposure, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Veronica Mars: none of these great shows would have happened if it weren't for Twin Peaks. It came and went in a flash, blowing up all previously held conventions (much like Guns N' Roses or Nirvana's impact on the music scene). Twin Peaks didn't last long, and maybe it wasn't meant to. Regardless, it will never be forgotten...

    Amazing

Riveting television. Something you can't say about most shows. The twists, the drama, the sex, the deceit, are all a part of twin peaks that was revelutionary for the times. I still have the series and can't wait to watch it again.

    Odd but engaging television

    May 9, 2007
I was in high school when Twin Peaks was on the air and I'm shocked now that my mother let me watch it! I was completely and utterly hooked to this show and I have not come across a television series even remotely like it since. It was strange, campy, well written, thoughtful and confusing at times. David Lynch is a strange, strange man but he knows how to create fascinating characters that do not have a lot in common with one another and place them into often bizarre situations. I enjoyed this show immensely and probably prepared me for my love of the X-Files in college.

    Twin Peaks

    February 4, 2007
I loved the show, it was nothing but addicting. You had mystery, beautiful people, weird characters and complex storylines that kept people coming back every week for more.
I remember the cultish Twin Peaks parties. Every week we'd all meet at someones house and have food and drinks, and we'd all watch Twin Peaks, what a blast...the last TV series that followed in loyal and dedicated fans was the X-Files. I'm a huge David Lynch fan, too bad there hasn't been a comeback or reunion. The show failed because it probably got too complex for people to follow, too bad.
